So the stray dog we adopted in June? Pregnant. Totally pregnant. Today we went out on errands and came home to this.
Today’s birth date puts Biscuit at 2 weeks pregnant when she was found, so who knows how long she was wandering the streets alone. Well, I guess not totally alone.
When both my girls were learning to read, I used the Now I’m Reading set of books by Nora Gaydos. Loved them. Recently they came out with a line of plays so I thought it would be fun for some of the younger kids to get together and put on these plays. Today was their […]
A decade in a half.
41% of my life.
We didn’t get to do anything at all for our anniversary today, but that doesn’t matter. It’s been a good time so far, let’s keep the ball rolling, Sweetie
Today is my brother-in-law’s birthday. Traditionally we go out to dinner when it’s someone’s birthday. This time we went to dinner and a show- meaning Medieval Times!
I haven’t been since I think my sister turned 9 or 10, so it’s been awhile. Same show. Knights aren’t as good looking as I remembered, but now they […]
Someone’s ready for a concert!
Was quite sorry to hear of Amy Winehouse this morning. I hope she has finally found peace.
So the girls and I went to park this morning and were practically alone. We had one family for half an hour. Then someone else for half an hour, then the last family for the remainder of our time. Tabitha was alone for most of that but never asked to leave so she basically sat […]
This is a samurai hat interpreted with wrapping paper.
And this is the Little Mermaid ride on a hot and crowded night at Disney.
The samurai hat was more fun.
Summer session of dance started this week. Each kid is only taking one class though. Tabitha chose lyrical for something different and Daisy insisted on ballet. It’s pretty much an intro to ballet class, but her 2 best friends are in it so she doesn’t care how much she learns.
Wednesday also found my house once […]
Tabitha has been saving her money for quite awhile with her sights set on the Hogwarts’ Lego set. It was well over $100 so a rather big purchase for her. At some point in July, we found out the Lego store was having a promotion if you came that weekend dressed as a character from […]
We started today off before our park time at a friend’s house. I put together a group of little ones to do some plays. With both my girls I used the Now I’m Reading series of books to teach them to read. I was thrilled when they came out with plays as well! Our first […]
Lessons all day. Absolutely wonderful
For once I’m the one who had a book club to attend. A friend of mine doesn’t have time for a year round club so she just does one in the summer. This year she chose “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” as our first book. It’s not something I’ve ever read nor did I really […]
We did the second Harry Potter movie today. At some point I guess all the kids decided they were deaf and the volume on the surround sound got turned up high enough that I could hear the dialogue crystal clear all the way down the hall in my room. Tabitha and I had a little […]
Last year in the summer, Webkinz went on a road trip which meant Ganz sent a van around the country and they held events in various places. I really wanted to go but the two closest stops were each 7 hours away. You’d think they’d stop in a major area like LA, but you’d be […]
Tabitha attended an Amazing Race birthday party on Saturday. Six hours long, let me tell you, my kid came home exhausted! She had a great time though probably bolstered by the fact that she and her teammate won. The rest of us didn’t do too much while Tabi was gone. We did go to lunch […]
We had a Fourth of July picnic at park on Friday. All the kids decorated bikes and scooters for a parade. Here are my little (and not so little) sparklers.
Wednesday was what I envisioned many days this summer to look like. Yet so far, it’s been the only one. Since we don’t have dance right now and Tabitha is only in 2 camps total this year, I really thought we’d focus on lessons. But then I got this great idea to take that week […]
We made the most out of the scorching July 4th weekend. Saturday was pretty much the girls playing in water in the backyard. We bought 2 new kiddie pools, both of which are for babies but exactly what Daisy wanted. There was nothing that was going to satisfy Tabitha so she has contented herself with […]
