This morning I was dealing with an annoying issue and found myself thinking how I’m tired of things being annoying. Then it hit me how often I’m thinking that and I realize, apparently that’s what life is. Life isn’t the smooth ride I want it to be. Instead it’s a serious of bumps interrupting […]
These boots were ordered a while ago but took more than a week to get here just from Arizona. I know there was a holiday but come on, it’s a 7 hour drive, for goodness sake! And notice the pants my child is wearing. Not jeans, but jeggings *sigh*. She backtracked […]
I have failed to reset my youngest child. For weeks now she’s been getting up well before she should. On numerous occasions this has prevented me from getting in a full workout. Not to mention I feel her behavior was being affected by not getting enough sleep. So a couple nights ago while Chris and […]
I mentioned that Tabitha and I went shopping and the first dressed she showed me was not only perfect for me, it was my size and fit beautifully (cannot wait to wear it!). Yesterday we were browsing Target (does anyone ever just browse at Target?) and were looking at the dresses for Daisy. Now, I […]
Monday was just a day of lessons, though I did break it up with a Jack in the Box run specifically for dessert before our lunch. The kids enjoyed that and the cashier thought it was funny- probably because I ordered a Diet Coke with our cheesecake, cookies, and churros. It was a long day […]
Daisy and a friend of hers have been making plans for a sleepover, but neither is old enough to actually have one. I think my friend and I are waiting until the girls turn 8 since that’s about how older our olders kids were when they started sleepovers. Anyway, Daisy and A have talked about […]
We saw The Wiggles for the very last time, Monday night. We went to our first Wiggles concert when Tabitha was 5 and even had front row seats. We’ve gone almost every year since then. We didn’t last year though as there didn’t seem to be a desire. I had decided earlier this year that […]
This bug and this note were waiting for me when I came out of the bath. To be honest, the bug did give me a start.
If you don’t read 6-year-old, it says, “Love you, Mommy! And happy late April Fool’s Day. Love, Daisy.”
I especially like the googly eyes she drew in the Os in […]
I had a birthday gift to buy that I had put off and by the time I decided to go it was inconvenient. That would be how we found ourselves at a Lego Store on Thursday morning. We hit the one in Downtown Disney so I had to make it very clear to Daisy we […]
Saturday was Daisy’s Jungle themed birthday party! She has a small guest list so we’re able to do a little more with decorations. We had inflatable monkeys and an inflatable palm tree. All Daisy wanted for this party was an inflatable palm tree- don’t ask me why. Everything looked really cute even if our palm […]
The day after Daisy’s 6th birthday marked a bit of a milestone for me. On that day, I had been a mom of 2 kids for longer than I had been a mom of 1 kid. I looked forward to reaching that point. But I thought about it for a couple months leading up to […]
So the baby has turned 6! Amazing! Her day was filled with surprises the first being waking up to 6 pink balloons in her room and another two dozen in the living room. She was thrilled and instantly picked a few to name and play with for awhile. Her next surprise was breakfast in which […]
Yesterday Tabitha was with her Girl Scout troop all day. As in, we had to leave the house at 7, in the pouring rain, to take her. The went to Pasadena to work on decorating the floats for the Rose Parade. I did it in High School so I guess it’s just a rite of […]
You know, I don’t even know why I’m not blogging. And I’m tired of feeling I need to blog about not blogging. I’ve been behind ever since the fair back in September and I seem to have lost my mojo. I’m guessing because Septemeber is also when our schedule went crazy. Between formal lessons with […]
There is a heck of a lot of fog this morning and yet, the high today is 88. Tabitha will be quite disappointed as she is done wearing shorts and just wants to wear pants now. She says she likes them better which I can’t say I knew before this year. Daisy just wants dresses […]
Seriously, how sad is it that I have a to-do list for posts on my blog? *sigh* I don’t want to leave too many holes because I definitely will be needing to rely on this blog when I someday get back to scrapbooking. This isn’t even a real post but I felt like blogging a […]
Once again I’m at dance. Pretty much assume any blog written in the afternoon is done at dance. Loving being able to connect to the internet via my phone; it’s handy when I can’t tap into some free wi-fi. Today is Daisy for an hour and a half, during that time Tabitha does some lessons […]
I was asked about Tabitha’s current grade level by no less than 3 people last week. This leads me to believe others might have the same question so I thought I’d kind of spell it out for anyone wondering.
She turned 11 this past January, so if she were in a brick and mortar school […]
Small World outfit- Done! Daisy wore it to Disneyland yesterday so I took lots of pics in front of the attraction. She’s wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath since it was cool in the morning and of course I didn’t get a single picture later after it had been taken off, but that’s okay.
Nothing really interesting to report for today. We had dance classes early this morning and violin this afternoon. In between Tabitha did French, spelling and math and Daisy read to me at violin.
I talked to Daisy a bit about dancing because she mentioned wanting to be in her normal class this summer (as opposed to […]
I’ve finally got Daisy’s party pictures up as well. Enjoy!
I forgot about our trip to Ameircan Girl Place for the girls’ birthdays. I just finished those pictures and they are up on their own page.
American Girl Place
Now, onto party pictures (after I take care of children’s lunch needs).
Since I haven’t been up to blogging the last couple of days, I thought I’d quickly dash off something Daisy said on Saturday. The girls dance performance was at a private school (a rather nice looking one at that) and so Daisy says, “When I grow up, if I’m not a normal adult, I think […]
March 2010 will forever be known as Cookie Madness. We did nothing but eat, sleep, and breathe cookies. Tabitha and I had a total of 9 booth sales, 7 of which were in March. All family activities were put on hold. In the end, Tabitha sold an amazing 755 cookies.
New this month: Tabitha has […]
I owe about 6 emails, need to paint a sign, need to bundle cookies, and need to package cookies for mailing.
Look at me avoid it all!
I’m sitting here shivering and realize that I haven’t really been warm the entire day. I think I’ll grab a blanket to wrap myself in while we watch Survivor.
We tried to beat the rain today and headed to a park for our little monkey to do some climbing. I know I said we weren’t going to go extra places for a couple weeks, but Chris and I are trying to give Daisy many opportunities to put her climbing tendancies to good use. We’re […]
Daisy’s 5th Birthday
That wasn’t so bad afterall, only took me about an hour to get all the pictures done. I will be putting up another picture page in a couple days that will include our room at They Disneyland Hotel (recently remodeled and gorgeous!), our day at American Girl Place, and her party that is […]
At this point I’m actually looking forward to when Lost is on so I can get Daisy’s pictures up.
Today marked the 5th, and final, day of celebrating Daisy’s birthday. We ended with a trip to the American Girl Place. It was a girls’ day being that it was myself, Daisy, Tabitha, and my MIL. […]
And a good time was had by all We not only went to Disneyland all day on Wednesday, we stayed overnight at the Disneyland Hotel to celebrate Miss Daisy turning the big 5!! I will get to the pictures, but goodness knows it won’t be tonight. I am exhausted, as is the entire […]
We’ve spent the whole day at Disneyland celebrating Daisy’s Birthday Eve. We’re heading back into the park tomorrow for a few more hours for more Birthday Magic!
Details and pictures to come later.
Two days in a row with no plans is my limit. I spent a good portion of the day wishing we could go out and about. Initially I had thought I would work on Daisy’s robe and party invitations this weekend. But when I was faced with it, I’d rather spend the time with my […]« Previous Entries
