Little exchange that took place on Friday.
Me: Daisy, sit down in your chair! How many times have I told you to sit down in your seat?
Daisy: Maybe, I don’t want to sit.
Me: Maybe, I didn’t ask you if you wanted to.
Daisy: Well, maybe, nyah-nyah-nyah!
I could have sent her to her room or laughed.
We hadn’t been to Disneyland in almost a month and all of us were getting antsy to get back there. We headed out first thing this morning and lasted until around 12:30 when the heat got to be too much. Thankfully it wasn’t as humid as yesterday or I think we would have melted by […]
It was so nice to wake up this morning knowing I had nothing more pressing to attend to than buying toilet paper and dog food. This is the second weekend in a row with no plans and I think we all appreciated it.
While Tabitha was at a violin lesson yesterday afternoon, I went to […]
Ack! I don’t even know the last time I posted! What the heck? Um, we’re good here, does that suffice? If so, move along, nothing to see here.
If you actually stay and want more then thank you, I guess It all seems too mundane and I’ve got nothing in the way of interesting. […]
Sometimes when I’m not blogging it’s because we’ve got so much going on that I don’t have time. Not this week. We’ve been enjoying a whole lot of nothing. We’ve managed a couple things here and there. We took Daisy to a play area at the mall and then stopped in the bookstore. I bought […]
So for all intents and purposes I’m alone because Chris took Tabi to the Jonas Bros. concert and Miss Daisy is in bed. I decided to have a snack that’s a throwback to my childhood- cinnamon toast. I was going to enjoy it and then post some sappy little comment about how it reminded me […]
I headed into the backyard today with the intent of getting the bird nest down so the girls and I could examine it. Upon climbing on a chair to reach for it, I promptly got down and went back into the house to don gloves. Apparently, all that time the mother bird sits on […]
The Dodgers are preventing me from watching the season premiere of “Pysch.” It’s currently the top of the 12th and they just finished leaving the bases loaded in the 11th. Chris went on a Ben and Jerry’s run so I’m taking a moment to blog and listen to music.
Tabitha lost another tooth today and […]
Around 10:30 this morning I realized how badly I needed a nap. Considering I woke up at 7 and went to bed early, that wasn’t a good sign. I held out until 11:30 and then went to lay down. I couldn’t get comfy, which may have had to do something with the two light sabers […]
We’ve been bird watching for the past couple of months. In our backyard we first saw two birds looking like they were building nest. It’s a fairly popular spot under the eaves of the patio cover. But in all our years here, we’ve never seen any birds do anything more than start building a […]
Tabitha is supposed to be attending a theater camp this week and next. It came with the high price of a super long day from 9-5, but we thought the program would be worth it as it was Shakespeare. Except it wasn’t- apparently the theme changes every year and while it was Shakespeare last year […]
So Tabitha lost another tooth this afternoon. I had her put it under her pillow right then so she wouldn’t forget. Fast forward to this evening and she’s in bed. Maybe 10 minutes later, she comes out and tells us that she doesn’t believe in the tooth fairy and knows it’s us and then got […]
I wanted to share our past week using pictures, but my blog won’t currently let me post pictures in an entry. So, I made a picture page for you, instead.
