The last two days I’ve dusted off the Sims again. Tabitha just loves watching me play and asking questions. She designed a house on paper and then I built it for her and let her furnish and decorate it. After a while she even played by herself while I did something else. Even after all these years I’m amazed how I can get so sucked in to that world and time just flies by.

This morning Daisy and I had Kindermusik and she really enjoyed the class. Figures that she’d start to get into it now, next week is our last class then we’ll have the summer off. Right now she’s serenading us by playing the harmonica. I really like that instrument because it actually sounds like music no matter what is being played.

Tabitha had bowling today and not only did her teammate not show up, but neither did her opponent so she bowled alone. She did alright and is improving. The coach has been working on her form and she no longer just throws the ball and sees what happens. She still doesn’t hold the ball quite correctly, but that will come in time. We were planning on taking the summer off, but have since changed our minds so she’ll only get a one week break in June.

I finished a scrapbook layout yesterday that had been waiting for one picture and also started another layout which I then finished today. Not my best work, but it’s done. They can’t all be winners :)

It’s been raining for most of today and yesterday was cold and overcast so no backyard play for us. We had planned to go to Disney yesterday but the 60% chance of rain kept us home; of course, that meant it didn’t rain until well into the night but if we had gone it would have poured on us as soon as we stepped from the car.

So Tabitha and I were talking today about a class Daisy will start in the fall and I mentioned the kinds of things Tabitha would do during the class to keep herself busy. One thing was little research projects which she found very exciting and asked to do one after dinner. So she is currently writing a report on wild horses.

And with that segue, here’s today’s creative writing. I told her to imagine herself as a very small mouse and that was to be her inspiration.

“I am a very small mouse. I live in a house. My friend is a louse.”

Love the picture of Daisy. Do you have an archive of the pictures you’ve put up?
