it begins

The little one has a cold which kicks off our next two seasons worth of trading illnesses. Ugh. Based on the timing, she picked up the germs either at Disneyland on Saturday or the fair on Sunday. I’m guessing the fair because a kid did in fact cough right on her. Of course, we were with a lot of people on Tuesday, I hope she didn’t spread it around. She didn’t have any symptoms until late last night, otherwise we never would have gone on Tuesday. This means no gymnastics this morning and no park tomorrow, unfortunately. We’re hoping she’ll be well enough for a weekend activities.

I started Daisy’s apple picking dress yesterday afternoon and finished up today just after I put her down for a nap. There were some bumps along the way but that’s because I didn’t use a pattern and so made a few mental mistakes. Even now, I think the straps might be a tad too long so after I try it on her I may need to shorten them up a bit. The dress itself is floor length which looks great, but I’m not sure if that will hinder her walking in an apple orchard. So I may need to hem it up a bit more as well though hopefully not. I’d like to move on to other projects. I have Tabitha’s halloween costume to work on and a skirt for a friend’s daughter. After that we’ll see. I definitely need to get some more outfits for Disney World done.
