Ahh, that’s where we belong

By Tara Zandra | September 9, 2007

We went to Disneyland for the first time in a month. A month, people. We never stay away that long. We had a great time, too. It wasn’t very crowded at all, the weather was warm, but it’s only in the mid-80s now instead of the low 100s so it’s quite nice. We’re out of practice though, we didnt’ take our lunch, forgot our stroller bag and forgot a camera. Take a month off and we become rookies again. Anyway, we also went over to California Adventure so Tabitha could see the High School Musical 2 School’s Out show. It was good for what it is. They signed the song “You Are the Music in Me” which was nice, but one miked girl was rather out of tune and should have stuck to only signing. The swing song, um… “I Don’t Dance” was some fun cheoreography. And they ended it with one of the songs from the first movie. Tabitha loved it and I’m sure we’ll be seeing it a gazillion more times in the next year.

Once home I got to working on my applique work. I’m really pleased with how it came out. It’s a rather simple applique, but that’s perfect for a first one. Since I had virtually no problems, I got a nice boost of confidence which will help me do my next one which will be a little more complicated. I’ll share pics later when I take some of Tabitha in the dress which I haven’t done yet.

And today we’re off for more fun. I’ll share good mommy-bragging news later.
