Back to Disney

By Tara Zandra | August 23, 2009

We hadn’t been to Disneyland in almost a month and all of us were getting antsy to get back there. We headed out first thing this morning and lasted until around 12:30 when the heat got to be too much. Thankfully it wasn’t as humid as yesterday or I think we would have melted by 10am.

But despite only being there a 4 and a half hours, we packed a lot in. We rode Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Alice in Wonderland, King Arthur’s Carrousel, Dumbo, Pirates of the Carribbean, Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Buzz Lightyear. Plus we ate lunch and hiked back and forth all over the park to find these small figure packs I promised the kids.

The rest of the afternoon was spent watching the Dodger game (of course) and doing whatever. Chris and Tabitha spent a lot of time reading, Daisy played by herself and had me read to her for awhile. Eventually she got Tabi away from her book and they played together before and after dinner. I mainly focused on our itinerary for Disney World. I probably put 3 hours into it and accomplished a heck of a lot.

Everyday those kids tell me they can’t wait to go back to Disney World. I was thinking of doing a countdown chain with an activity a day on each link until it’s time to go, but I really think I would run out of ideas to fill the links between now and then. Although I guess the very first activity would be to make the chain and the last activity would be to pack so at least there is a start and a finish.

And now time for relaxing with the hubby :)
