All tucked in

By Tara Zandra | March 2, 2009

The house is quiet as 3 out of 4 Ancs are in bed asleep. Chris has a rather bad cold so I ordered him to take Nyquil and go to bed. This is his second cold in 3 weeks but he never got a break in between so it’s like he’s been sick constantly. His description of how he felt today was pretty bad so I’m really hoping today was the worst and now he’ll start to feel better. Early to bed tomorrow night will hopefully be the final nail in the coffin for this illness.

Yesterday was a beautiful day so of course we went to Disneyland :) We got there right at 8 and by 1:00pm we were sweating and pretty hot so it was time to come home. We were all ready but agreed that we had had a good time before the heat. Today was kind of ugly, but not really cold. It seemed like it should be though so I dressed cozy and that always makes me feel lazy. Hence the dirty dishes in my kitchen, lol.

Tabitha and I did math, spelling and ancient history. We talked about Greek weddings and it’s always fun to see her reaction upon hearing the age girls married. She made a wedding invitation and instructed “BYOT” as in, bring your own torch, since the Greek citizens followed the happy couple carrying torches. Classy. We attempted a science experiment but they always assume I have things like paper towels and plastic throwaway cups. I don’t. I promised her I’d get a small supply to keep on hand for when the experiment mood strikes her.

Daisy read to me but other than that we just played with the Bilibos. I spun her around as if it were her own personal Tea Cups ride and then decided to grab a bit of clothesline and attempted to pull her around the house. That didn’t work too well but she thought it was hilarious and broke down into the deep, baby laughter. After a bit I needed to get back to Tabi so I had her load up her dolls and stuffed animals and then tied the clothesline around her waist and told her she was a sled dog and needed to mush. She of course did her best to pull hard enough to dump them all out which made the laughter come back with gusto. I’m not very good at playing make-believe with my kids, but at least I can get them to laugh :)

Eventually I wasn’t needed/wanted by either child and I did another scrapbook layout. That brings my Disney World total to 3 two page layouts and 4 one page layouts. Oh, and I’m still on Day 1, lol. This is why I kept putting it off. Slowly but surely, I’ll get there. I’m keeping the layouts very simple as I do not have time to be elaborate.

Well, my green tea is gone, my Diet Coke is flat and if I stay up I’ll just eat more cookies so I’m off to bed now. G’night.
