alive- not well

By Tara Zandra | October 13, 2008

I’m still not feeling 100% and I’m tired of being awakened at night for a bout of coughing. Since Daisy was also sick all last week, she also is waking me at night with her coughing. This morning I was awake between 4:00am and 5:15am because once one of us quieted down, then the other would start. I then proceeded to ignore my alarm this morning and both kids also slept in so it was a lazy morning. It’s now 11:00am and we’re at a park strictly so the kids can play and I can work on the laptop- including blogging.

It’s a beautiful park in a neighboring city. There’s a manmade lake with a waterfall, complete with fake rocks, plus ducks, trees gently swaying in the breeze and the playground we’re currently exploring. It’s an ordinary play structure but you really can’t beat the setting.

Last week on Wednesday I decided I was tired of feeling yucky and that fresh air would help. Sure I could have just taken a walk around the block, but it was more fun for the girls and I to go to Disneyland. We stayed about 4 hours and had a pretty good time. We avoided all the Halloween stuff as we’ll do that with Chris on a day he can join us.

Tabitha had a party to attend on Saturday so Chris and I treated the little one to some Daisy-fun-time. First we took her to a park where Chris pushed her on the swings and followed her around as she commanded. Then we hit the mall where we munched on cookies and then went to the Disney Store. They had a costumes at 40% off and Daisy hasn’t been able to make up her mind as to what she wants to be for Halloween. So Chris and I nudged her a bit, in light of the sale, and she chose a Daisy Duck costume. I know, I know. And I don’t care J It was fated as there was only one and it happened to be her size. We then went to pick up Tabitha and decided to go to Target to get her Halloween costume. She’s known what she wanted to be for awhile it was just a matter of finding one she liked. I had planned for us to go hunting on Sunday for her costume but it turns out she wanted the one she had seen at Target so that’s where we went. My sweet girl is going to be a ninja. When we got home and put those costumes on the kids they were so freaking cute! Tabitha does make an adorable ninja, lol, and the Daisy Duck costume is, of course, the funniest thing ever. Daisy decided to be Ninja Duck though and had to grab some of Tabitha’s accessories and engage in a sword fight. That’s just her nature. She kept that duck costume on until dinner, too.

We decorated the house last weekend, but that’s it. We haven’t done a single event or Halloween craft so I really need to get on the ball here.

You’ll have to put up pictures of the girls, with their ninja and daisy duck costumes.

    Glad you are feeling better.
