I’ve been on an ebay kick this week trying to complete children’s book sets. The Sesame Street books I’m using with Daisy that I mentioned in a previous post are my main focus. I’m missing two of the books and one of the others is in really bad condition with a missing back cover. This led me to look through a few other sets we have. We have three Disney sets that are each missing a few books. I’ve successfully found 3 books to complete one set and have my eye on a couple auctions for other books. I love ebay! Tabitha also asked me to look for Clue books so I found a nice little lot of 6 for her. I was thinking we need to go to a used book store because I dearly love used children’s books. Especially Disney books and Little Golden Books. We buy them at Goodwill but it would be lovely to sort through piles of old books as opposed to one shelf. We’ll do that sometime in the near future I imagine.

But I’ve also been ordering some new books and my first order came yesterday. Included was an Aunt Dimity book (cozy mysteries) for me (which I read straight through last night), an American Girl book for Tabitha (which she read straight through yesterday) and a kids’ sewing book. I’ve read nothing but fabulous reviews and Tabitha is so excited. For now I’m going to let her use my machine but if it’s something that she sticks with and really enjoys, we’ll look into getting her a machine of her own. Of course the first thing that popped into her mind is the pink Hello Kitty one at Sanrio, lol. I’ve looked through the sewing book and I do like it, but no review I read mentions how much photocopying needs to be done of the pages. Thankfully we replaced our 9 year old printer a few months ago so I do have a copier but what if I didn’t? That would have been a lot of annoying trips to Staples.

Today we’re supposed to decorate for Halloween. I’m feeling a bit under the weather due to the rapid temperature drop- four days ago it was roughly 97, today high of 69 with rain. But I’m sure I’ll be fine for today and have a good time. Tomorrow might be another matter.

Well, if you’re ever in my neck of western PA I’ll show ya the Goodwill close by that has an entire ROOM of books - it’s madness! LOL

I get most of Gabe’s books at a deep discount outlet store called “Ollie’s Bargain Outlet” - I think it’s an east coast chain. They have books out the wazoo, all at really cheap prices. I love that store.
