better today

By Tara Zandra | June 24, 2008

Today my burn was less pronounced and I was able to wear makeup- with a liberal application of green powder first. So right there it was a better day than yesterday.

While reading Mel’s blog, she mentioned the history pockets by Evan-Moor again. But she also mentioned a Tall Tales pocket book that I thought Tabitha would be interested in. I was right about that, but while I was perusing the site, I came across Pre-K pocket books for Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales as well. Those will be perfect for Daisy! She’ll love being able to make her own books like Tabitha.

Our day was pretty uneventful. Morning lessons for both girls, the afternoon brought violin and gymnastics for Tabitha, then home to dinner for everyone. After dinner I work on the house a bit and then went off to read on my bed while feeling the breeze from the open window. The temp dropped the last two days so the evenings have been pleasant. Daisy must have agreed with the feeling of the breeze for she decided to drink her night time cup of milk on my bed so I got even more reading in.

Right now I want to add a few more items to my amazon wish list for lessons and then we’ll get Tabi off to bed as well. Not sure what we’ll watch this evening. Last night we watched a movie that we recorded during a free HBO or Showtime weekend a couple weeks ago. It’s called Idiocracy, starring Luke Wilson. While it had it’s stupid moments, it held our interest for some odd reason. It wasn’t a bad movie, per se, but I can’t say it was very good. Yet, I don’t regret watching it.

We really enjoyed Idiocracy. LOL We are always joking about our society keeps getting more and more dumbed down so it fit right in with our own observations. It has its hilarious details.
