Friday already?

By Tara Zandra | May 23, 2008

Love those three day weekends and now we have another one this weekend :) This week just flew by!

We went to our first Dodger game of the season on Wednesday night due to Chris getting free tickets. The seats were pretty good, and free is good. What wasn’t good was the wind. It was very strong and creating something akin to a dust storm so we had to keep rubbing things out of our eyes. It was cold though so it was bearable. We stayed until just after the 7th-inning stretch at which point Daisy was done being there. Tabitha was upset to leave, and I don’t blame her, but she wasn’t the one who got headbutted by a squirmy three year old. The Dodgers won so it was definitely a nice evening in that respect.

Yesterday we received our package of new books. Tabitha and I actually started on the Ancient Egypt history pockets last night after Girl Scouts. It seems fun and a nice supplement to Story of the World. I photocopied a few extra pages for Daisy since she’s so into Egypt.

Today we’re staying home from park due to the drenching we got yesterday afternoon. We had some terrific thunder storms as well. Daisy slept through them which means she has now proven she can sleep through a marching band and thunder. But Tabs and I are were treated to quite the symphany of booms. The sky looks rather ominous this morning as well so I think we’re in for more.

I would like to finish scrapbooking my March pictures. I only have three more events and one of them will be a simple page and another I’m waiting on a package from Austrailia containing Wiggles scrapbook papers. So really that isn’t much to do and I’d like to get it done. I have a couple sewing projects on the horizon that I want to get started now. Hopefully this weekend.

I was totally caught off guard by the rain. It was cloudy yesterday morning, but I figured it was just good old June gloom and let Gillian go off to school in a short skirt and T-shirt, thinking it would clear up by lunchtime. I felt like an idiot when I came out of work at the end of the day and it was cold and drizzling. I can’t even remember the last time it rained here in May!
