I will survive

By Tara Zandra | May 1, 2008

That was a great Survivor. No spoilers here for those who Tivo’d it, but it was a good episode to me.

Also putting me in a good mood- I finished the piggy skirt! I wanted the pic to be large so details can be seen in the fabric so I’ll just put a thumbnail for you to click if you want to see it. The bottom hem is a full 16-feet around if you could stretch it out. Needless to say the skirt has some serious twirl factor.

I’m hoping to get something done on the applique tank tomorrow. I have to draw it myself and that has never been a talent of mine. Let’s put it this way, I took an intro to art class in college and was happy to end up with a C. That’s how little drawing talent I have. Chris says it’s just ovals so I should be able to manage that.

This evening I told Daisy I was going to go get ready for my walk and all heck broke out. She wrapped herself around my head, grabbed my ponytail, essentially pinning me to the sofa, and told me I wasn’t going anywhere. I was laughing so hard that she didn’t think I was serious when I told her I really was going out for a little while. Eventually Chris freed my hair from her grip and I picked her up to hug her. At that point she koala-held me so that I was able to fully let go of her and she stayed on my body by her own strength. I was —>this<— close to not going but hit upon the idea that Chris could take the kids into the front yard to draw with chalk on the driveway and therefore Daisy could wave to me every time I passed by. Thankfully this was acceptable to her and the evening went as planned.

AWESOME!! Love, love, love the skirt Zandra!! You HAVE to post pics of her twirling!! :) I can’t wait to see the finished ensemble.
I am about as artistic as you. LOL I can not draw. At all. My brother has serious artistic talent, I think he got all of the talent in the family and refused to share with me. :D

Daisy’s reaction to your leaving had me giggling. She sounds like fun.
