Yesterday we didn’t have any classes so were home when Chris got home from work at his new, earlier time. We decided to take full advantage and went out to Baja Fresh, then we did all of Target, then went to Henry’s. When we got back in the car to head home, it was 7:30pm, basically just last week we would have been finishing up dinner at that time. It was a good feeling. It doesn’t last forever, so I’m grateful for it now.

Daisy had her very first play date yesterday that was just for her. No older siblings that are Tabitha’s friends, and not a group play like at the park. I won’t say it went “well” but it went okay. The little girl is very sweet and was really excited for Daisy to come over but they couldn’t seem to get into play mode. The mom brought out Candyland though and that was a great idea as they easily played that together for a while. In the end, Daisy said she did have a good time and would like to try again at our house. Hopefully the little girl is agreeable to that.

I got a decent amount done on the skirt yesterday. The 7-foot ruffle has been tamed and is nicely attached to the skirt. I decided I need ric-rac, because what outfit doen’t nee ric-rac? I’m hoping to make it to the fabric store super quick this morning before kid classes, but we’ll see. The skirt itself doesn’t have too much left to be done and then I can work on the applique on the top. I still need to pick up a pair of capris or jeans and embellish them.
