back in the groove

By Tara Zandra | April 28, 2008

Chris has a temporary reprieve from the uber-late shift so I’m taking full advantage and started walking tonight. I haven’t walked in months and it felt good. We all went to the grocery store after dinner and then I walked home. After a couple blocks it felt like I’d never stopped. I could feel all the nerves in my body responding and I felt very alive walking under pine trees inhaling the scent of freshly mowed grass. I had Serj Tankian going on the ipod and it all just felt so good. I love the feel of my muscles working and cannot wait until tomorrow night to do it again. I’d like to add pilates in the morning before the kids are up, but I have a hard time getting out of bed and there is usually some part of my body in pain rendering it hard for me to do. Pilates would be so beneficial though that I really hope I’m able to find it within me to start up again and keep doing it consistently.

Good for you! I’ve been taking a walk during my lunch break at work. I only go for about 15 minutes, but I figure that 15 minutes spent walking is better than nothing at all! : )
