I finally got Tabitha signed up for her own gymnastics class and I was able to get her into a dance class. Daisy is not in dance yet as the one I wanted is full. I’m thinking I’m going to be going the parks and rec route for a little while, but for a 3 year old, that should be fine. Tabitha had her first gymnastics class this week and I was pleased on two accounts- she was not the oldest/biggest kid in her class, and she was more coordinated than I thought which is a good thing. She had so much fun and cannot wait to go back next week. She starts ballet next week so we went to a dance store to get her outfitted with a leotard, tights and shoes. The mall we went to has a wonderful play area and Daisy had a fantastic time climbing on everything. We’ll definitely be going back there so she can play again.

We’re 0-for-2 on recent letterboxing outings. We went on Sunday to a local park and we followed the directions, but it seemed that they are either just flat out wrong or we were supposed to go off the horse trail and through dense, prickly weeds that were honestly taller than Daisy. Needless to say, we declined to do that. But we discovered a Nature Center we didn’t know existed and had fun exploring that. So at least our letterboxing attempts have led us to new places and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I’ve ordered a couple fabrics for the girls- pigs for Tabitha and cows for Daisy. Tabitha will end up with a three piece set with an appliqued tank that she can pair with a skirt or capris. I’m still working on the design for Daisy’s outfit. They are meant to be summer outfits, but I’m also going to dress the girls in them for the fair in the fall. There’s a few more fabrics I’d like to order, but I’m waiting until I have at least a glimmer of an idea of how I want to use them.

I’m also almost done with my scrapbook layouts for February’s pictures. I just have our Chicago trip left, but that’s a good 4-double page layouts so it won’t be too quick and easy. It’s mid- April now so I’d really like to move on to March’s photos. And somehow I need to incorporate doing the distant past as well as the recent past. I’d like to set a goal of finishing Daisy’s first year by the end of this year, but me setting goals leads to me not wanting to do what I’m “supposed” to do and then I just don’t do anything. So no goal here :)

Lastly, if you like the sound of Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies, then my family highly recommends these. They were easy enough to make that next time I’ll just let Tabitha do them by herself and all of us just love them.

Mmm…the cookie recipe looks good, I just may try that today - I have 1 overripe banana sitting in the fruit bowl as I type….
Glad Tabitha enjoyed the gymnastics class!
