soundtrack of life

By Tara Zandra | April 10, 2008

Today is one of those beautiful days with all the doors open and the children are providing a lovely background sound of laughter. I’m adding my own soundtrack in by blasting The Raconteurs. I was playing a bit of Serj Tankian earlier and Daisy started dancing around telling me she loved that music. I grabbed the camera to video her because I think she’s cute. So this is just for me :)

Daisy’s in jeans and a shirt today which is unusual for her. She looks like a different kid since she’s usually in dresses with pants or matchy-matchy outfits from gymboree. Spring weather is a problem though because her outfits are either short sleeves/short pants or long sleeves/long pants. So I’m at a loss when she needs pants but short sleeves. She only owns these jeans because the night before we left for Chicago I realized her knit pants were simply not going to cut it in that weather and went to Target to buy her jeans. Tabitha, on the other hand, has more jeans than days of the week because that’s all I ever wanted to dress her in. I guess that’s the result of them being so far apart in age, my tastes had a long time to change.

    She’s adorable!

Idea instead of denim- knee-length (or longer) skirts? You can even buy denim skirts that would go w/ everything. And girls loooove them a twirly skirt!!!! And you could make them yourself if you felt so inclined. Simple and fast.
