Easter Eve

By Tara Zandra | March 22, 2008

Today was pretty much “Get Ready for Easter” day. We’re hosting tomorrow so there was cleaning and cooking to be done. Plus coloring pictures and dyeing eggs and playing. Chris supervised the girls in that endeavor and they had a lot of fun. After the eggs were dry, they decorated the eggs with monkey themed stickers and Chris did a few of those shrink wrappers. We have 18 real eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide tonight and loads of plastic ones.

The girls also helped me in the kitchen which is a favorite pasttime for them both. Today we made cabbage salad, tortellini salad, mushroom gravy, deviled eggs, and the stuffing for stuffed mushrooms. I still need to make Alfredo sauce and lemon bars. I’m pre-making so much so I won’t have to do too much tomorrow. I want to enjoy the kids’ morning, not worry about rushing around making food for everyone. At some point I also need to sew three buttons on Tabitha’s dress.

I finished the next Disney World trip report but still need to edit and upload photos. I know I’ve fallen way behind, but I’m hoping to make it a priority this week. Well, a priority in my computer time, not a priority over other things in life :) After I get those taken care of I want to put up picture pages of our Chicago and Phoenix trips. Plus just a general March page which will have our trip to The Huntington and Easter day.

Now it’s time to get Tabitha off to bed and myself back to work. After one more game on Webkinz :)
