This shows a close-up of the two fabrics. As you can see, the red has many different string instruments in the design.

The recital itself went just fine. Tabitha did well without any major mistakes. She had a good time and her teacher was proud of her. After the recital we went out to lunch/dinner with my in-laws to celebrate my mil’s birthday. Afterwards we went to their house so she could present the girls with their Easter baskets since we won’t see them Easter Day.

It had been a long day by the time we came home and I was just wiped out. I was headachy, tired, and irritable. I think it was kind of a results of all the nights in a row without sleep, though last night was good. I immediately changed into my PJs and relaxed at the computer. After a bit I started feeling much better so Chris and I did some housework while the girls went insane played nicely. We eventually threw them in the tub together with new toys from their Easter baskets and Chris and I perused the internet discussing ideas for the girls’ room.

We never did watch August Rush last night as Daisy didn’t fall right asleep which means Tabitha was delayed in going to bed. I was really tired by the time Tabitha went to bed, but I was determined to spend time with Chris since I had sewed all day and ignored my family. He went out to get us Ben and Jerrys and we curled up on the couch under a quilt and watched a couple shows. It was a very nice way to end the day. I don’t know if we’ll end up watching the movie tonight or not. We’re just now getting Tabitha to bed and then we’ll see.

That’s a cool dress! It almost has a kimono feel to it in the front.

Love the Dress. Glad the recital went well. Sounds like a good day other than the period there where you felt bad. Glad that was over fast though.

That’s is perfect for a recital. Fabric choices around here are just aweful, unless you want to make a fleece John Deere throw…ugh.
