GS: I Love You

By Tara Zandra | February 10, 2008

I’ve got Girl Scouts on the brain. Seeing that museum the other night made me decide to search for my old uniforms and books. Found the books on Friday and Chris and I found the uniforms today. Tabitha is thrilled and wants to wear my old Brownie uniform on Tuesday.

Friday night through today I’ve been working on secretarial-type stuff for Tabitha’s troop. I drew up a little one page newsletter and had a lot of fun searching for graphics. I’m really pleased with how it came out and look forward to creating future copies.

Lastly, we have a Valentine’s party coming up with Scouts and Tabitha needed SWAPS so she came up with an idea Friday and we went to Michaels today to get all the supplies. We worked together, since I needed to use a hot glue gun, and had a nice evening together.

So now I can stop thinking of Girl Scouts for a little while and make this week’s lesson plans and dwell more on an American Girl book club idea I have. I haven’t even started typing up the next day of our trip report, but tomorrow we only have one activity besides lessons so hopefully I can get it started.

Oh, and Chris and I had a wonderful day together yesterday. We left the kids for 6 hours and just enjoyed being together.
