I dreamed I had a headache and guess what? I have a really bad headache and my neck is stiff and sore. I think I overdid it with the sewing yesterday. I spent most of the day working on a dress for Daisy and man am I paying the price. I’m almost done with it though so I’m anxious to get back to it.

Really not much is going on around here. Classes for both kids have dwindled to next to nothing until September. The kids watch TV in the morning, then I do lessons with Tabitha, then they play together, Daisy naps, she wakes and they play and then Chris comes home and we eat dinner. The kids were going in the back yard to play after dinner, but this week it finally got hot around here so I keep them in. Amazing how last week I was enjoying cool breezes and this week I’m dying to put the AC on at 10:00am.

Tabitha is just about finished with Math 3, I think we have 13 more lessons. It took us 13 months which seems to be the norm for us so my goal for the next level is to complete it in less than a year. We’re working on recognizing lower case letters and letter sounds with Daisy. She’s started tracing letters with her fingers and gets frustrated when she can’t write them on her Magna Doodle. It might be time to make a rice bin for her to practice letter formation. I never did one for Tabitha because she didn’t get frustrated at not being able to write letters. On the other hand, Daisy’s drawing skills have really picked up and she may be drawing letters on her own real soon. I should take some pictures of some of her drawings. Most are done on the Magna Doodle so I don’t any copies to keep.

I’ll close with a poem Tabitha decided to write. She wrote it about two weeks ago on our little dry erase board hanging in the dining room and it’s still there for us to read everyday.

Oh, Daisy, do you want a nap?
To drink milk on Mommy’s lap?
Your’re tired, it’s true,
But if we told you,
You’d be BLUE!

Sorry you’re sore, I feel your pain - I sew for 8 hours a day!
