usual Friday

By Tara Zandra | July 21, 2007

We had Park Day yesterday morning and though we did not have a good turn-out, we did have a good time. Those of us who were there discussed possible field trips for the group after the summer heat is over (though we’re having a fairly mild summer). When we got home I decided to keep Daisy up due to workers being here rebuilding our gates. She didn’t want to nap and the noise of sawing and hammering would not have helpped convince her to sleep. She did okay until about 4:30 and then she was tired, cranky and whiny. Tabs had violin and musical theatre but yesterday was the last day we’ll have all three events on Friday so it will be less hectic day in the future.

I finished another Halloween skirt, it’s not like I wanted either, but I like it and am calling it good. Daisy’s skirt is supposed to be the same style (though different fabrics so they won’t look like I’m matching them) so hopefully I can get hers right. I had planned to pair them with Halloween t-shirts, but I’ve decided that won’t work. But I don’t know what kind of top would work, not to mention the material Tabitha’s skirt is made of is stiff and not suitable for a top. I’m tired of working with tulle though so I won’t sew Daisy’s skirt just yet, I have a choice between a couple different outfits to sew next.
