Rain Song

By Tara Zandra | April 5, 2006

The wind is just crazy around here. Coupled with the rain and I think we’ll be staying inside again today. Unfortunately it affects our satellite so any shows recording now don’t come in so well so we missed a bit of American Idol last night. We heard enough of just about everyone to decide who to vote for though. I am getting tired of the show at this point; Tabitha is still into it so we’ll keep going for her sake. But really, I just don’t care who wins anymore.

Unfortunately we didn’t make any progress on our foilage or garage on Chris’s days off this week. Sunday was taken up by hula and Monday didn’t have weather that was feasible to work in. Chris did manage to take care of the front lawn before the rain hit so at least it’s no longer such an eyesore. The backyard is a different story.

Today’s creative writing (fresh off the pencil):

Subject: “Field of flowers”

‘ In the field of flowers, all I could see for miles was purple pansies. In all the pansies, there was 1 little rose. I wonder where it came from.’

    That’s pretty!
I don’t miss satellite for that very reason, we’d miss a lot of shows during severe weather season.
