Last night Tabitha had Brownies and received a few more Try-It badges that she had been working on at home.

After the meeting, she and I went to the party store to get little things to fill Easter Eggs because today was our Easter Party with our Homeschool Group. We had a great turn out with 16 kids. I had collected everyone’s eggs last week and then today I got there a few minutes early and spread the eggs out in the grass for the kids to gather. I couldn’t do a true “hunt” because there was no way to assure no one would disturb the eggs. Each child brought a basket and we had enough eggs for them to gather 10 eggs apiece.

After they collected their eggs they had fun opening to see what was on the inside. We had a no candy rule so their prizes were things like bouncy balls, rings, change, stickers, erasers, bracelets, play-doh, etc. Then we brought out the goodies which included, cookies, cupcakes, egg salad sandwiches cut into egg and bunny shapes, and m&m bar cookies (that’s what I brought). All told it was a lot of fun today despite the very gloomy weather.

Speaking of the weather, both my girls have sleeveless dresses for Sunday and the forecast is 69. That’s not going to work. I guess I’ll be hitting Target tomorrow for white sweater shrugs. I was also hoping the Easter Bunny would hide the eggs outside, but I’m thinking it will be too cold for that and we’ll have to stick to the living room and dining room as usual.
