if I could freeze time

By Tara Zandra | August 26, 2013

This isn’t even a post about kids growing up. I just need about 3 days in a row to get stuff done and I need my kids to not be here. Our weekends have been so packed that when we finally do come home for the evening, I too tired to do anything other than sit around and perhaps cook dinner if my family is lucky.

During the day we’re always getting ready for something else. For instance, today we have Brownies. So we have to do a thorough vacuum (one child has allergies), plus set-up, plus I always clean the bathroom before they get here, plus my dining room (aka where we put every.single.item.ever.) always needs straightening. So there goes the morning. Then it’s the actual meeting. Then I have to drive children to dance (not mine, for once), then we’re going out to dinner tonight. By the time we get home, I’m not lesson planning or doing an organizing chore as that’s my time with Chris (which I will not give up).

Anyway, if I could just freeze time therefore nothing is happening for a few days, that would be perfect.
