Oh yes, good intentions.
- I intended to get the kitchen sparkling today.
- I intended to do math and violin with Daisy today.
- I intended to vacuum the dining room.
I emptied the dishwasher.
She practiced violin and I looked at her math books (so that counts, right?).
Okay, I don’t know that I should take the blame on this one, Daisy has a zoo thing going on with some toys (always blame the kid for personal failures).
One of those blah days, that’s for sure. Daisy had another play date today so it was just me and the big kid until dance. She’s the more independent child, but she’s also the one that talks. And talks. And talks. Well, let’s just say we had a very in depth conversation about various genres of fan-fiction.
Another yummy dinner, this time I cooked brown rice in the crock pot but added seitan and carrots and then topped with parmesan cheese. In the other crock pot I had some herby mushrooms going. I was worried about both turning out so was more than relieved how good they were. I will definitely make both again.
Other than that, ballet for the girls, a Target run, and watching the Dodger game. I attempted to crochet, but the yarn I have in the color I need is difficult to work with. I got frustrated very early in and called it quits. I’ll hit up Michaels for more yarn very soon.
So nothing interesting right now, but full-on dance will be starting very, very soon, so I’ll enjoy the nothingness and boredom while it lasts.
