Days are kind of meaningless right now. Most of our regular activities have either stopped or been altered to the extent that we have no idea what day of the week it is around here.
The thing consuming much of my thoughts is Daisy’s mystery ailment which I don’t feel like jotting down here. She’s been to the ped, as mentioned, and I’m thinking I’ll be calling again on Monday. You have to understand that I have taken my girls to the doctor for illnesses a total of 6 times in their lives and 4 of those were Tabi. So I’m worried and I’m not in the mood to spell it out, but there isn’t too much else going on.
Tabitha is at Comic-con with Chris right now which is fulfilling one of her teenage bucket list items. That’s a big no thank you for me, but I’m glad she’s happy. Goodness bless Chris who takes care of these kind of things.
Daisy and I turned in the girls’ county fair entries this morning and then came home and both of us promptly put on pajamas. This girl makes me so lazy! Terrible influence, she is. We’ve been trading time on the computer and just, well, lazing around (well, as much as I’m capable anyway; laundry and dishes are always there for me). Last lazy weekend I did two weeks worth of lesson planning for Daisy so tomorrow I’m hoping to get the next 2 weeks done for Tabitha. She didn’t do anything other than practice violin this week because she was working non-stop on her fair project. I hope she earns a ribbon that’s acceptable to her since she put so much effort into it. But the fair isn’t until Sept. so we have to wait awhile.
For geography, Daisy and I are in Asia so I had the idea to read “The Jungle Book” to her. That is a hard book to read! I’m not even sure how much of it Daisy understands, though I’m trying to explain it to her. It does not compel me to read more Rudyard Kipling, I can tell you that!
All right, clearly my brain is fried and I’m incapable of making any of this sound interesting so I’ll call it good for now.
