Daisy to me after hearing how much Tabitha weighs- “If she weighs 100 pounds, how much must
So, back to my workouts soon then, yes?
In other news, she apparently thinks girl-boy kissing is yucky but boy-boy and girl-girl is fine and acceptable. You think she’s overheard our conversations about equal rights for all? Of course, it’s not exactly an uncommon subject here, last night she wanted to know what a drag queen was so I explained it; thank you Google image search!
In other news, it was a fairly uneventful day. The children were surly when I woke them, both protesting the desire to go to class. I tempted them with the cranberry orange muffins which did get them out of bed, but I don’t think they improved anyone’s mood.
I schlepped them to class stopping at 3 gas stations on the way before I finally found one without 3 cars waiting at every lane. I paid more, but it was worth it for my frustration to end. I was hoping to ask a friend out to breakfast but she dropped off and ran so I came home by my lonesome. It was for the best probably since I had left my phone at home. Plus, my dining room finally looks normal again so that was good.
After I picked up the kids we headed to the dance store as Tabitha needed new pointe shoes and Daisy needed two pairs of ballet shoes. Then they both picked out leotards and it was decided Target was in order. By the time we got home I wasn’t feeling so hot. I think I’m running a mild virus right now, but it could just be from not sleeping well at night because I’m constantly waking up from being cold. I’m putting another quilt on the bed tonight, hopefully that will do the trick.
I vegged and had Chris pick up dinner then tackled a Playmobil house Daisy got for Christmas. So now we have the large barn, plus farmhouse, and about half a dozen mini sets to go with it. Though the details of these sets are really cool, having to plant the crops and install the sprinklers really gets tedious. The whole plantation sits atop Little Mermaid tables so I’m thinking I need to hit the fabric store and get some green and brown felt to make the fields. If Playmobil goes to the trouble to include an alarm clock for Mr. and Mrs. Farmer (who sleep in seperate beds, I might add), I might as well give them proper ground cover.
I think that about sums up the day.
