Cave girl

By Tara Zandra | November 5, 2006

We’re reading about nomads in history and one of the activities is to do a cave painting. All you do is take a grocery bag and crumple it up and then uncrumple it to similate the texture of a cave wall and then paint with red and brown. What I did was tape her paper to the wall, pull the table over and then cover all but one side in a blanket so she could paint in a cave. She thought that was pretty darn fun and when she was done she collected various toys to represent items the nomads had and played a bit of imagination for a while. Fun stuff.

Lessons for Friday….

    Looks like fun!

You guys are reading Story of the World, Vol. 1, aren’t you? Gillian was totally grossed out by the nomad girl who ate lizard stew and never took a bath, LOL.
