Daisy speak

By Tara Zandra | October 26, 2006

Edited to add a couple more that came to me this morning (and to fix a spelling error)

my little sweet

I need to get these down so I have a reference for the future. These are some of my favorite phrases that have come from Daisy lately.

“Wook at me. I a pincess!” - said while donning a crown

“Mommy, mommy, mommy.” - I like this one because Tabitha never called me Mommy

“Mmmm, I sweet.” - said while leaning on whichever person she’s talking to

“Hocky Pocky” -this comes from me saying “Okie Dokie Hokey Pokey”

“Want sit mama’s wap” - I’m not thrilled about this one, ‘wook’ is way cuter than ‘wap’

“I wuv mama” - that says it all :)

“Hado, I’m back” -this was said when she walked into the dining room after playing in the living room for a while. I laughed a bit so she then raced away on her Radio Flyer so she could come back and repeat it to me again. Have to admit, I laughed every darn time.

“Hi mama, I Daisy” - said at least once every day and always while patting her chest

Is there any sweeter word than “Mommy” (or Mom, or Mama, etc.)?

She is so adorable! Good idea to document the babyspeak, you forget so quickly when it’s gone.
