Halloween time at Disneyland

By Tara Zandra | October 7, 2012

I had been toying with the idea of taking the girls to Disneyland on Thursday and then Chris ended up taking a vacation day that same day so that sealed the deal. We had a whole outfit planned for Daisy including suspenders that glow under black light and the rest of us also had black light nailpolish. Our first stop was the Mickey pumpkin on Main Street for a family picture and I’m rather pleased with it. That one will make it into this year’s Christmas card. Next we headed to Haunted Mansion to test the black light items- turns out, not as much black light there as one would think. It was too concentrated and I think the ceilings too high to get the full affect. So off to Snow White we went and we all glowed up a storm there. Silly fun :)

We then played around in the Big Thunder Ranch area and waited for-ever to see villains. Except it turned out to only be one whereas the week before when we didn’t wait, there were 3. And it was Cruella which was fine except not exactly a fave. But they do a really cool pre-show to conjure the villains so I am glad we saw that.

Then we split so Chris and Tabitha rode Ghost Galaxy and Daisy and I rode carousel and then back to Big Thunder Ranch because she could not resist the lure of coloring. She finished just as C and T were done so we met up to have lunch and then declared the day a sucess and went home. And now I want to go back and do it again.

They added Sparky’s grave to the pet cemetary at Haunted Mansion. I love how he’s dug up.

The look on Dee’s face cracked me up. She pretty much made it half the time we took pictures that day. She hides her true personality behind soft pink, this is how I really think of her :)

The Maleficent hat was found on a previous visit and I fell in love with it. I didn’t get a pic quite the way I wanted it that day, so this will have to suffice.
