What’s in a name?

By Tara Zandra | April 14, 2006

The first summer after Tabitha was born the soap opera Passions premiered with a crazy old witch named, well, Tabitha of course. The name is also associated with cats and, my personal favorite, a porn star.

Daisy was named after my Great-Grandmother, but with our Disney obsession, I’ll admit it is slightly embarassing to call her by name inside Disneyland lest anyone think we named her after the duck. Her name is also an extremely popular choice among dog owners. And now Meg Ryan has stolen it for her child.

I should have gone crazy and chosen Persephone and Delilah. At least I didn’t choose Fifi Trixibelle.
