A-mazing
By Tara Zandra | July 9, 2011
Tabitha attended an Amazing Race birthday party on Saturday. Six hours long, let me tell you, my kid came home exhausted! She had a great time though probably bolstered by the fact that she and her teammate won. The rest of us didn’t do too much while Tabi was gone. We did go to lunch at Baja Fresh as we always try to do lunch when we don’t have the big kid. She likes going out, but she’s not into Mexican food and will tell you we eat it all the time. We do eat it a lot, but a month could go by and she’d still say we just ate it. She wants Chinese, pasta, soup, or a baked potato. The rest of us could eat Mexican every single day and be happy campers.
So anyway, we had a Baja Fresh gift card and put it to good use. We then did some shopping at the mall. More browsing than anything though I hit the Clinique counter for some necessities. We looked through the Disney Store and Best Buy and then Gymboree. My oh my, they came out with a new, fantastic line of bees and daisies! Good grief I cannot afford it all! Seriously, I came home and added everything I want to my cart on the website and it was $496. Eek! I need to order my 2 favorite outfits I think, and then wait until the line goes on sale to get more of it. *sigh* I just love dressing that little girl so much. And she loves getting new dresses.
Back on track- we then grabbed some small cookies and then let Daisy enjoy the play area for a bit while Chris and I played on our phones together. After a while we went in Sears to look at crock-pots and while on the escalator it somehow ripped Daisy’s Croc off her foot and tore it to shreds. I cannot for the life of me figure out how it happened. Thank goodness her shoe came off without a fight which meant her foot was completely untouched. However, it was a pink Croc which means it was her favorite so it was very hard to stem the waterworks. I promised to buy her brand new Crocs and she made me promise to order the exact same pair. Already done and the upside is I got them a size larger.
That was pretty much the day. Chris picked up Tabitha and we relaxed at home for the evening.

I always have to get Mexican food without Gillian too. She likes Wahoos, but Baja Fresh, Rubio’s, Chipotle etc. are all out. I sometimes go to a place with friends from work that has *really* authentic Mexican food (like goat) and I hate to think what she’d say about that. LOL

I’ve actually read warnings about not wearing Crocs on escalators. How freaky and scary.
