end the weekend

Another weekend is over for the Anc Fam. This morning started off with a trip to our local donut shop for a slight indulgence and then it was on to the hardware store for screws. Once home, Chris put up two shelves for me in Tabitha’s room for some dolls and stuffed animals. We only put up ones that previously lived on her bed because I was tired of them taking over her bed. Many of them had to go live in the closet with the hundreds of other stuffs. After the arranging of dolls and stuffs was taken care of I arranged all her Bitty Baby clothes into a drawer. I still want to organize her Build-a-Bears but that shall wait for another day.

Today is my sister’s birthday so sometime after Daisy’s nap we met my mom and sister for lunch at Alcapulco’s. We had a lovely time and it was certainly nice to see both sides of the family this weekend.

We decided to browse Best Buy for a little bit but I was disappointed because I wanted to look at printers and they hardly had any and their computer game selection was pretty poor as well. We left feeling dissatisfied and came home to let the girls play in water in the backyard. They had fun but I spent most of the time watching Chris stalk hornets and wasps and once poison had been sprayed a few times I brought the girls inside. Not sure what the deal is this year. We always get some wasps and are careful to keep an eye out for nests so we (meaning Chris) can take care of them right away. But this year there aren’t that many wasps but loads of yellow jackets and black hornets. It’s gotten to the point where I’m a tad afraid to go outside so we’re going to go ahead and look into pest control, I think. We’re in the discussion stages.

The rest of the evening was spent with Daisy chowing on grapes, me cleaning the bathtub and Chris and Tabi playing karaoke. Now it’s time to relax sans children.
