Daisy spied monkey fabric in my fabric bin that I had used on a dress for her over a year ago. Since it’s outgrown she said I needed to make a new one. I went with a skirt instead and then scanned one of the monkeys and used that as my pattern for the appliqued shirt.

When Tabitha and I were at Joann’s Fabric Store, she saw a free pamphlet with instructions to a stuffed catterpillar and told me I was making that for her. So now both my kids are simply demanding I sew them things. That’s good, I guess? Anyway, I used the pig fabric I bought 3 years ago for Tabitha’s fair outfit that year. I didn’t have that much left but it was enough. I made the whole thing without needing to buy anything except the rick-rack.

Now I need to move on the business of working on Tabitha’s Halloween costume. The little one chose to be Tiana, so I just hit up the Disney Store for her. But Tabitha decided on a goth fairy so that falls to me.

Cute outfit and that pillow caterpillar thing is adorable! People would snarf those up on places like Etsy.
