Come and knock on our door

By Tara Zandra | August 14, 2010

Date night last night! Woo-hoo! We all ate dinner at Applebees and then Chris and I dropped the kids off with his parents. Then it was out for a night of puppets.

That’s right, I said puppets.

Not just any puppets, no no. Sock puppets. And do you know what these sock puppets were doing? They re-enacted the first episodes of “Three’s Company” and “Friends” word for word complete with commercial breaks. This is a You Tube video of a snipppet of their show back in May- but it’s pretty much exactly like I explained.

We had a really fun time and it was in a neighborhood that had 3, count ‘em 3!, vegetarian/vegan restaurants within a couple blocks of eachother. If we could move there we would in a heartbeat. Except no one could ever visit us because parking was a bitch.

Now it’s 7:30 in the morning and I have to somehow convince my oldest child to go straight from waking up to getting dressed and she is really not going to like that. On the other hand, if she doesn’t, we will have to resort to using torn magazines as TP so that should really be enough incentive to get her to go on an errand early in the morning.
