stuff ‘n fluff

The illness from hades came full circle and Tabitha got sick again with my cough. It’s been real fun around here. She’s much better now and thankfully never seemed to get quite as bad as I was (or at least, how bad I perceived myself to be) so life can finally get back to normal. At least for a week.

But we still managed an outing this past week to the Disneyland Hotel. In one area of the hotel, there are beautiful waterfalls that have walkways and a hidden cavern. Unfortunately, this wonderful area is going to be demolished soon. My girls had never seen it despite all our times staying at the hotel so I was determined to get pics of them before they were gone forever. Oh how much fun Tabitha and Daisy had! They loved exploring all around and are now very bummed that they are going away. I’ll share pics soon- no really!

After the waterfalls, we went into Disneyland for a little while as we had date with Mickey Mouse. He’s an old friend, you see, and we hadn’t seen him in a long time so we were due.

I did a lot of sewing this week and finished up that German pattern I was doing. I so love how it turned out! I used the same fabric as my very first sewing project 3 years ago. Daisy has long since outgrown that outfit but I still had plenty of fabric left and we both really loved it so it was a no brainer to use it again. The only thing is I seemed to have backed up the matching head scarf which is a shame because I’d love for her to wear it again. I think I may have to make another one.

I do have pictures of it and in fact, I spent some time this evening finding all my pictures of the outfits I’ve sewn the girls and have them organized now. It took me an hour so I’m not in the mood to create a webpage right now but that’s on the to-do list.

So far we’ve had a good weekend and we’re looking forward to having Chris home tomorrow.
