big plans
By Tara Zandra | June 19, 2010
I know I’ve written before how I love to plan parties but I don’t actually like to attend them. Apparently this applies to anything in my life. I had lots of different ideas swirling around in my head for what I wanted to do tonight after the kids were in bed. I spend a good portion of the day mentally planning my night. Among my ideas were a good blog post (this is not that), playing my Dance Dance game as long as I wanted, watching a movie On Demand, sewing, cleaning. What did I do? Read Top Chef blogs and check facebook and my email every 3 minutes. And now I’m going to bed.
In my defense, I have a cold and my legs are sunburned (badly) so I don’t really feel like doing anything anyway.
Turns out, I also like to plan to plan. I need to get a nice menu and schedule in place for the upcoming week. Oh I plan to get that planning done, I just don’t follow through.
It’s like I decide to procrastinate at a later time.

I always want to watch movies, but then I don’t because it seems like too big a time commitment. You know, because there are so many other exciting activities vying for my attention at 10 p.m. on a Saturday.
