tuesday wrap-up

By Tara Zandra | May 25, 2010

Wow! No Lost tonight for me to blog through! I need a good sit down time though because I haven’t blogged our picture from month 4 for the 12 Project and here it is almost time for month 5! We haven’t taken this month’s photo yet, I’d like to do it on my birthday, but that means it would be at Disneyland again and that’s where a lot of our photos are taken :)

Today started off beautifully, just like yesterday. I almost gave in to not working out by reasoning I really didn’t have time because of dance classes, but I told myself “Nope! Today’s the day I don’t make excuses!” It worked and therefore, so did I. And yes, I had plenty of time.

Lessons were so-so today, certainly nothing to blog about. It had nothing to do with anything other than I was feeling lazy but we did plenty in the time we had after dance. This afternoon, Tabitha made cookies with a cookie cutter set I got a few months ago from Williams-Sonoma. They are shaped like animal crackers.

They were a little tricky at first, but once she got the hang of them, they came out really well. They don’t really taste like animal crackers, but they sure are tasty! Not quite your basic sugar cookie recipe as WS likes to fancy it up a bit. Let’s just say I had to buy mace for the first time and had to google it because I didn’t know what it was (other than pepper-spray). For your info, it’s the ground covering of a nutmeg seed and has an aroma akin to nutmeg and pepper combined.

Well, time to get the big kid off to bed. We didn’t watch Chuck last night because I took my time after Tabs went to bed and then we found out it was 2 hours. So we’re about to pop some popcorn and enjoy the finale.
