found a cool park

By Tara Zandra | May 6, 2010

Tabitha had a birthday party to attend today for a few hours after lunch. Technically Daisy could have gone too, but it was a pool party and no way was I going to get in the pool with a bunch of splashing kids. So Daisy and I found our own fun. First we went to the Disney Store to pick out a birthday gift (it’s apparently birthday party season as Saturday’s party will be the 5th in 3 weeks between my two kids), then Daisy played in the mall play area for about half an hour. Then we headed out to a park that was on my map of the area in hopes it would be good and it was! There was a wooden bridge, lines of rocks for climbing, grassy hills and fun play structures. We’ll be going back very soon with Tabitha as well.

That really feels like my entire day right there. We were gone from 12:30 to 4:30 so it kind of threw everything else out of whack. I didn’t really feel like sewing tonight but all I had to do was the zipper on the dress so I pushed through and did it. I had hoped I could have at least cut out the pieces for the hat, but I really wasn’t in the mood. We’re gone almost the entire day tomorrow, but as soon as we do get home, I’ll start on the hat immediately. I’d like to think it won’t take too-too long, but honestly, I’ve made this style before and it kind of annoys me so I’m not expecting that quick of a project.

I have lots of sewing projects on the docket so I’d really like to work out a way that I can maybe scrapbook during our lunch hours and sew after dinner. We’ll see if I can figure out how to keep two projects with entirely different materials going at the same time with only one desk. It’s a shame I like spending time with my husband in the evenings, otherwise I could get so much more done, lol.
