Wiped out

By Tara Zandra | April 30, 2010

It’s been a heck of a looooong day. We didn’t have book club this morning so that was leisurely but then it was park for a couple hours, then to the dance store for new dance shoes for both girls, then to the Webk!nz store (okay, that wasn’t a *need* but it’s literally around the corner from the dance shop), home for a late lunch, relax for one hour then I had to curl Daisy’s hair and put her in make-up and her dance costume, then I had to do Tabitha’s hair and make-up. Then it was off to the dance studio for summer/fall registration and then Daisy’s pictures. But they were running about 20 minutes behind so we just stood around with a lot of other people in not a large space. Then we had to change Daisy out of her costume and go get dinner. Then back to the studio, Tabi into her costume, touch up of her make-up and hair then stand around again, because now they were 30 minutes behind. Then we had to stand in line to view the girls’ pictures at which point I realized I didn’t have my wallet. Full on panic for me (Chris was there so he simply paid, so at least I didn’t have to worry about that). We rushed out of there so I could check the house when I it suddenly dawned on me that it was absolutely at home because I finally remembered taking it out of my purse. By the time we got home, it was past Daisy’s bedtime and I just now got her down. We’re giving Tabitha 20 extra minutes and then I will take myself off to a long soak to get rid of this headache that will not go away despite the excedrin.

But the girls looked so damn cute in their costumes, I can’t really complain :)
