busy, yet not

By Tara Zandra | April 11, 2010

It doesn’t seem like today was busy, and yet, we did a lot of stuff. We went to lunch with my in-laws, then back to their house for visiting, then home where I finished putting the skirt on Daisy’s Small World shirt, then I ran to the fabric store for thread, quick dinner, then Lucy episodes, a game of Chutes and Ladders, I planned for Daisy’s math lesson tomorrow, put Daisy to bed and went to the grocery store. But since none of it took very long, we never felt rushed or busy.

Perhaps tomorrow I can get the Easter pictures edited and uploaded. On the other hand, I’m still working on Daisy’s outfit so we’ll see. I’m still not really pleased with it and was feeling fairly down because I almost feel like I’m wasting my time. I don’t know if I’ll like it when it’s finished or not. Daisy likes the dress part well enough in that when I put it on her she wouldn’t take it off and wore it the rest of the day. I put a scallop edge on it that isn’t as big as it should be. Plus the waistline feels unfinished to me; I’m almost considering a sash of some sort. I’m also thinking ruffles on the sleeves, but I don’t know that they’d lay right. Oh well, I figure Daisy will like it if nothing else, and yes, I know that’s what matters. Maybe I can find some big hairbows and then it will feel more complete.
