pretty good day

By Tara Zandra | March 25, 2010

Daisy had a playdate this morning which means I got to talk to a friend of mine I don’t see very often. It was really good to catch up in the time they were here and I definitely hope we don’t go so long in between our next get together.

After lunch I was still able to get some lesson time in with Tabitha. She did some reading comprehension, French, violin, Critical Thinking activities from chemistry and math. I did not get Daisy to read to me today though as I was also working on final cookie related stuff and getting dinner on the table early.

After dinner we headed out to Girl Scouts and got word 15-minutes ahead of the start time that we had an emergency cancellation. So Tabitha and I made the best of it. We were near a mall so we stopped in and had cookies together then checked out the Hallmark store to see if it was still open. It was, but they were done to fixtures and cards that they were unloading for 90% off. We made a quick stop at the grocery store before coming home.

I got to do my most favorite thing and type a long, long, long response to a homeschooling question :) People don’t know what they are getting into when they ask me about homeschool, that’s for sure! I’m such an advocate, too bad I’m far too lazy to actually get out there and do anything about it, lol.

I also did my second favorite thing which was a steamy bath with a good book. My back had been hurting for a few hours so I was hoping that would soothe it and it did!

Here’s something happening right now that cracks me up- Chris and Tabi tango down the hall when it’s her bedtime before he tucks her in. Comedy, let me tell you.

Anyway, I’m hungry so I’m going to rustle up a raw food dish so as to avoid anything heavy before bed. Maybe that will help make up for the cookie earlier :)
