yay for evolution

You never realize how much you use that opposable thumb until it’s out of commision. All I did was hyper-extend my left thumb so it’s not like it’s a big deal. But, I continued to use it because there wasn’t much choice since I was bundling cookies which meant a lot of ribbon tying (seriously- over 5 hours of cookie bundling) and that necessarily used my thumb. Eventually it got purple and refused to let me use it at all to the extent that I could not pick up my glass of Diet Coke with my left hand. Once I was finally able to not use it for a while, it calmed down and now I can feel a little pain, but I can use it again. I’ll try not to overdue it and hopefully after sleeping all night it will be fine in the morning.

I was going to post the rest of Daisy’s pictures tonight, but I don’t want to sit at the computer longer than I have to. My back and shoulders are killing me thanks to the previously mentioned cookie bundling. Did I mention the 5 hours part?

The only other thing we did today was go to Olive Garden for lunch with my in-laws and now we’re about to watch Amazing Race. Oh, I also took a steaming bath to ease my muscles.

I look forward to tomorrow. I told Tabitha and Daisy we need to take 2-3 solid weeks of having a normal day, meaning no errands or Disneyland, or skipping rope in the front yard for hours on end. We really need to get some good lesson time in. I really do enjoy that type of interaction with the girls so it should be some good time spent together :)
