monday-shumday

By Tara Zandra | January 11, 2010

A fairly normal Monday today. Other than Chris was home sick. He rested much of the day so it wasn’t too different than when he’s not here at all. Other than I could go smile at him whenever I wanted.

It was my first day with my raw food morning/afternoon. The soup was very tasty and I’m happy it made two servings so I can easily enjoy it again. The sandwich (romaine lettuce leaves instead of bread) was okay. On the surface it seemed just right, but instead I found it a tad lacking. Could be that I used a bland dressing. I wish I had started with the sandwich and ended with the soup because I’ll admit that though my stomach felt full, my taste buds felt deprived. I ended the raw food diet at 3:00pm though my goal is to eventually stay raw until 5:00pm. I don’t know that I’ve ever in my life gone until 3:00pm without a Diet Coke. When I finally had one, it tasted weird to me after a day of water. Tomorrow I’ll be having a “not tuna pate” which should be interesting.

I did several lessons in French today, but I think I’ll be repeating the last one tomorrow. I passed with a 70-something percent. It was the writing lesson which is always very hard. I mean, French has two different “E”s with accents é and è so it’s not always easy to remember which one to use. Not to mention all the dashes and apostrophes. It’s no wonder Tabitha can’t pass the writing lessons.

Alrighty, it’s getting late and there’s yet another new episode of Chuck to watch. Goodness I love that show. So happy it’s back.
