sneaking in a quick post

By Tara Zandra | December 26, 2009

I am exhausted. I ran myself ragged and lived on caffeine for a week and have been paying the price since yesterday. I slept really well last night, but still need a nap today. I expect to be tired tomorrow as well.

But! It was all worth it :) We had a fabulous Christmas. The robe is pretty much what kept me up so late and Tabitha loved it. Just loved it :) Daisy didn’t ask for one, but I’m making her one anyway because I have the fabric.

The girls were spoiled, as usual, and have spent much of today enjoying their gifts. Right now they are with Chris as he is playing his Viva Piñata game which Tabitha gave him. Daisy gave him Eternity by Calvin Klein cologne and after shave because she loves to sit with Chris while he shaves and then picks out a cologne for him to wear. I gave him Pitfall for the Wii, a Sunglass Hut gift card, a book on the art of tasting beer, and a Weezer Snuggie. I’m not proud about that as I detest Snuggies of any kind. But he really, really, really wanted it and it was a huge surprise because he knows of my distan for Snuggies and Snuggie-like products. And don’t any of you leave me a comment saying how you love your Snuggie. I don’t care! LOL

Anyway, for me, Tabitha gave me EA Sports Active for the Wii and Daisy gave me two pairs of PJs. One pair unfortunately don’t fit right so we’re going to return it and she’s going to help me pick out slippers instead. That made her happy, for which I’m very glad because I feel horrible about needing to return something. Chris gave me both seasons of Pushing Daisies on DVD and also a new food processor. Not just any processor though. It’s gorgeous!- for an appliance. I use my processor all the time, but it’s small and there’s been a crack in the bottom of the bowl for awhile. I cannot wait to make soup in the new one! Also, it came with a $50 gift card to Williams-Sonoma that’s good for this week. So I’ll be sure to put that to good use :)

I won’t bother listing all the stuff the kids got from us and their various grandparents. Suffice it to say, it should be fun finding places for it all! I will say Tabitha got Daisy a Sit ‘n Spin and I put it together a couple hours ago. Daisy loves it and Tabitha’s jealous that she’s too big for it now.

Aside from gifts though, we spent a lot of time with family and friends over the two days and there was lots of love and laughter. My extreme tiredness made me not quite the sparkling party girl, but I still had a really nice time.

We’re all sad it’s over, but we’re very grateful for everything.

I don’t own a Snuggie because unlike the woman in the commercial, I know how to use a blanket properly. LOL

Sounds like a fun Christmas - now on to birthdays!!

That is one sweet food processor, I’m envious!

I’m with ya on the anti-snuggie wagon. I love to make fun of them, lol!
Check out the “Gina gets a Snuggie” clip on Greg & Donny’s youtube channel if you have a few minutes. So funny!
