no time

By Tara Zandra | December 8, 2009

So I put off Christmas shopping, an activity I usually start in July, due to our vacation. I have zero gifts for the kids. I do have ideas though and both girls know it will be a smaller Christmas this year so it should all be fine. But I have some grandparents asking for lists for the kids and I honestly don’t know! I’ve put no thought into any of it beyond what will be from Chris and I. So today or tomorrow I’m going to take the girls to Target and Toys R Us and just follow them around with a notebook and paper and write things down.

I had wanted to get all the boxes of decorations out yesterday, but the constant rain made me think otherwise. We don’t have a door that connects the garage to the house. Normally we can stay close to the house under the eaves to get to the garage dry, but that route won’t work while carrying large boxes. Thankfully there is a break in the rain today so I will need to get my bum in gear. The girls did get to open advent calendars yesterday, but since that meant 7 chocolates apiece to catch up, I made them each give me two pieces. Purely for their well-being you see.

I hopped on my Wii Fit this morning and even with 11 days of all that food and multiple desserts I lost 1.1 lbs. So a whole year at Disney World should get me to my goal, right? LOL

Alright, it’s late enough, I have to be responsible today and actually get stuff done.

I like your thinking Z. I think having the girls give you some of their chocolates was the only choice that could be made in that situation. It’s good to see a mommy who is willing to take the fall for her kiddies. LOL
