just me and, well, no one

By Tara Zandra | June 28, 2009

I opted out of the Dodger game today in order to spend a little bit of time at home. With Chris home sick last week and the girls and I not home for most of the coming week, I really needed to do housework. I know I’ve mentioned before that I like cleaning when I’m alone so it was an ideal time. I also finished a book and started laundry since, again, I won’t be home to do it this week. Oh, and I spent a fair amount of time on Facebook :)

The family got home around 5 and I served dinner about 6. After that the four of us played a Disney game and then I hooked up my maracas Daisy bought me for my birthday and played a bit of Samba de Amigo. The maracas add so much to the game! It was fun before but now it’s a new level of fun. Chris took a turn too before it was time to get the kids to bed.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, it’s not a good idea to show a 4-year-old the extended Thriller video. She just might need her Daddy to lay on the floor until she falls asleep.

Two nights in a row.

At least she didn’t have any actual nightmares last night, though I’m still sure I scarred her a bit. More money into the therapy jar!

Ah, we all have those childhood scars. I saw part of The Exorcist on TV when I was 7 or 8 and had to sleep with a Bible under my pillow for weeks afterward. I still grew up more or less normal … I think. :D
