Today was the girls’ gymnastics show. It’s basically an opportunity of kids to show off for family. I can’t really post anything from the show itself as there are other kids in all the pics, but here’s a pic of mine before the show.
********picture removed for personal reasons**********
The second picture is me (looking very tired […]
Last night, or rather, this morning, I had a dream that involved Jack from Lost (not that I watch the show, and it was the character, not the actor), ringwraiths from Lord of the Rings, Paris Hilton and Jane Lynch. I cannot even imagine what in my life would trigger such an unlikely combo.
It was lovely having Chris home for an extra day this weekend, especially since we didn’t really get much of him on Saturday. We got up and going fairly early and went straight to the backyard as planned. The weather cooperated in that it was cool and cloudy during our hard labors. We took out […]
It’s late and I’m tired, but as I’m currently waiting for Chris to come home and I don’t want another day to go by without blogging, I figured I better stop in.
Friday night, Chris and I kicked off the three-day weekend by staying up late and watching “The Bourne Identity.” We had never seen it […]
I put the post and pictures of our weekend trip together here.
While I work on the pictures from our weekend, here’s a quick pic of Daisy in her newest dress I sewed for her. She picked out the fabric and I already had the pattern. The hat is from a different pattern though still Burda. The hat only had 3 sizes and I made the middle […]
Just returned from a quick, two day trip up to NoCal and now back home in SoCal. Nice little earthquake to welcome us home. I’ll blog tomorrow.
Or the next day.
The girls went off into their room at approx. 9:30 this morning and save for lunch did not come out until roughly 3:30 in the afternoon. It wasn’t some Draconian punishment on my part, they were making a movie together. First they had to figure out their plot line, then they did the “sets” (and […]
Obviously I’m fooling myself and I am getting old. I intentionally taking naps about 2-3 times a week now. Just little 30-minute refreshers but still. My 5 year old self would be disgusted with my willingness to succumb.
It’s just sad.
So, aside from the crazy lizard escapade of today, we had a fun weekend.
Saturday, I accompanied Tabitha’s Girl Scout troop to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. We went to work on a badge called Earth Connections. The Huntington provides an info packet explaining how to complete the badge in their gardens. Except, they […]
When the girls and I were at the zoo two weeks ago, we oohed and aahed over some lizards we saw in a few different planters.
When we see lizards sunning themselves on the brick planter in front of our house, we are excited.
When we see a lizard on a pink blanket next to Daisy’s bed, […]
It was a gorgeous day for Park today. The warmth chased a few people away so we only had a small group, but that’s okay because the three of us had a lovely time. We stayed a little over 2 hours before heading home for lunch. At that point, the heat suddenly got to us […]
That’s pretty much what occurred today. First the girls played together on Webk!nz for about 90 minutes, then they went into the living room for some odd imagination game they play that is called Daisy Fish. I cannot explain why, all I know is they use a toy fishing rod, lots of small toys, and […]
The title means nothing, it’s just hard to think of something every single day.
I got off to a great start by actually dragging myself out of bed and doing my yoga and a workout. I’ve been off the last couple of days and hadn’t been doing my yoga thinking it would be better to sleep […]
We took the girls to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disneyland today. They wore fairy costumes for the experience; Daisy wore Tinkerbell’s arrival day dress (it’s from the Tinkerbell movie) and Tabitha wore Silvermist’s dress (a fairy character from the books and movie). After they were done, we spent the rest of the day taking […]
This is what my oldest said to me as I just put her to bed. For those not into Miley Cyrus, that stands for “Girls’ Night Out.” Mind you, it was more of a Girls’ Night In, but we won’t quibble.
Chris is at a gathering at the Dodger game right now. He even got […]
My site won’t let me on to blog so I’m typing this up in Word. We’ll see if it gets uploaded tonight or not.
We started off the morning going to Tabitha’s book club. Daisy and I needed to run to Target so we just dropped Tabitha off. After book club it was off to […]
